Service Dog Training
Wild Dog Training has a deep commitment to Service Dogs and their Owners.
Wild Dog Training has a Program for Dogs learning to Be Service Dogs. If you are in need, please call to see if we can assist you.
NOT ALL DOGS CAN BE SERVICE DOGS!!!!
There are specific temperaments that work well for the specific need of service.
It is important that you have a Professional that can help you in this process, BEFORE you get the Puppy or Dog. It is important that the Puppy or Dog can do this work.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM A PET STORE!! THESE PUPPIES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR SERVICE WORK.
Wild Dog Training has relationships with several reputable Breeders whose Dogs have proven temperaments and aptitudes for service work. Not all BREEDER DOGS are suitable for service work. Not all Breeders are selling Dogs suitable for the work, although they may say otherwise. Please contact Jodi or another Trainer BEFORE you get a Puppy or Dog for service work.
A Rescue Dog can also become a Service Dog, if there is the correct temperament, aptitude and has no aggression issues with People or Dogs. To assess this correctly, you should ask, or employ, a Trainer to go with you to assess the Dog BEFORE YOU BRING IT HOME. Not all DOGS can be service DOGS! NOT all rescue Dogs can be Service Dogs.
Wild Dog Training presently Trains PTSD Service Dogs, Service Dogs for light physical services and Service Dogs for Children and Adults with Special Needs.
Our Training Program is an ASSIST Program, meaning we train the Owner/Handler and the Dog in variable classes and community situations. Wild Dog Training supports the International Service Dog Associations requirements of training and socialization for every dog. These requirements are the collective Training for each Dog.
